Austrostipa stipodies 'Coastal Spear Grass'

A hardy grass providing a beautiful golden contrast in the landscape over the summer months. This tufted grass rejuvenates with fresh new green growth over spring. 

Grows both in full sun to part shade and is adaptable to most well drained soils. This hardy compact tufted grass requires little maintenance. Once established it can be cut back annually to promote new growth. It is naturally adapted to coastal conditions and is a great plant for seafront gardens. 

Excellent to use for low level plantings to create borders; or for understory plantings and especially adapted for coastal areas.
