Dichondra repens

An attractive groundcover or lawn substitute with kidney-shaped leaves which form a dense, compact mat. Grows readily in most climates in fertile, free-draining soil.

Will tolerate moderate traffic in full sun. Only requires mowing 4 times a year. May reach up to 15cm in shadier conditions with less traffic. 

Ideal for steep banks or other inaccessible positions, it is also effective in hanging baskets, between steppingstones and pavers.
