Ficus carica 'St Dominique Violette' 

This fig produces large delicious dark violet fruit. Plant figs in rich soil preferably with a neutral ph level. Tolerant of most soils, figs require adequate drainage and dislike wet waterlogged sites.  Will tolerate periods of dry soil, however this may reduce fruit production. Stake to protect from strong winds which will damage the fragile branches. Mulch well at planting.
