Plectranthus graveolens 'Bush Basil'

Bush Basil (aka. Native Coleus, Mountain Plectranthus, Sticky Cockspur) was traditionally used as a medicinal and ceremonial herb. Early European settlers called it the "Five Spice Plant" tor its complex aroma, reminiscent of basil, mint and sage. A highly aromatic herb best used cooked or dried. Bush Basil produces broad, fuzzy leaves, with slender clusters of tiny mauve and blue flowers.
