A tropical perennial plant grown for its attractive rich purple foliage. Best foliage colour is achieved when grown in full sun.

Excellent hedge plant. The richly coloured leaves provide a brilliant colour contrast when planted in a mixed border or in containers.

Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Protect from frost. lip prune regularly to maintain compact shape. Feed using a complete fertiliser.
