Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' Smokebush is a brilliantly coloured deciduous shrub. It boasts rich, wine-purple rounded leaves and smoke-like flowers summer to autumn. Amazing when used as a backdrop for white, cream or yellow flowers!
A full sun position in well drained soil is best for this plant. It's quite hardy being tolerant of cold winters, dry summers and even frost.
