Asparagus officinalis ‘Precoc D’Argenteuil’

Produces thick rose purple spears that are harvestable in two rather than normal three years. Likes moist well-drained soil in a range of light conditions. Sweet asparagus flavour, that works well with traditional root vegetables or lightly cooked with standard salad vegetables like cherry tomatoes. Partners well with Garlic, Dill, smoked salmon, mushrooms, ham and other strong flavoured meats.
