Banksia vincentia 20cm

Banksia vincentia is considered one of Australia's rarest Banksias only occurring in a small population at Vincentia NSW. 

In cultivation it grows as a spreading shrub up to 1 metre in height and 2 metres across. The flowers are red/maroon in colour and occur in the cooler months of May/June. Older plants can produce a woody lignotuber and they can re-sprout from this.

For best results plant in a sunny area in well drained soil. Prune after flowering if required. Fertilise in spring with a  phosphorous free fertiliser.
