Laurus nobilis 'Bay Leaf' 

Large, slow-growing tree with dense, dark green foliage. Leaves are aromatic and used to flavour various dishes. An important ingredient in bouquet garni. Ideal for formal gardens, hedges and topiary work. Grow in tubs where size and shape can be maintained through regular trimming. Pick leaves as required or dry for later use. Prefers well-drained soil in the full sun. Prune regularly to maintain desired shape and size.
