Brachychition rupestris 'QLD Bottle Tree' 14cm

Brachychition rupestris 'QLD Bottle Tree is an unusual semi deciduous tree that has a distinctive bottle shaped trunk that becomes more pronounced as the tree ages. Large woody seed pods follow the small flowers. It flowers in late spring.

Young plants may be used as container plants for indoor and outdoor use. They can also be used for lawns or park-like gardens.

It is best to plant in a sunny, open position in well drained soil. Fertilise in spring. Mulching will help suppress weeds and conserve soil moisture.
