Camellia sasanqua 'Hiryu Kanjiro' 

Large, semi-double, deep rose blooms shaded red at the petal edges and contrasting yellow anthers. Tall, bushy shrub. Early season flowering.  Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position protected from hot drying winds. Slightly acid, fertile humus-rich well draining soil. Apply organic or slow release fertiliser in Spring. Avoid lime, mulch well.  Suited for both landscapes and container growing. Responds well to tip pruning to shape the plant.
