Casuarina glauca prostrate 'Shagpile'

'Shagpile' is suitable as a ground cover with a very compact prostrate cascading habit and is a selected form of Casuarina glauca. It is suitable for any garden that requires low plantings. It is an attractive ground cover that is the best choice for low borders or can be used o cascade over retaining walls.

Shagpile's soft grey/green stringy-like foliage provides contrast in the garden making it an extremely versatile plant for landscape design. 

'Shagpile' is a hardy compact ground cover that requires little maintenance. Organic mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and also suppress the weed growth. During the initial growth phase feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help establish the plant when first planted.
