Perennial with hollow, onion-flavoured leaves. Ball-like purple-mauve flower heads appear in spring and summer. Ideal for pots or in the herb garden. Use to flavour soups, dressings, dips, egg dishes, casseroles and as a garnish for salads. Trim regularly for fresh, new growth.
