Grevillea 'Red Robin'
A selection from a mix of seedling hybrid Grevilleas. 'Red Robin' is a low growing shrub which produces a spectacular mass display of reddish/ orange flowers between late autumn to early spring. It is a dense low spreading shrub which is useful for rockery plantings. 'Red Robin' can be planted in areas where low level plantings are required or for large landscape sites or small garden beds. This plant produces colour and nectar for fauna.
Prefers full sun though will tolerate part dappled shade. It is adaptable to most well drained soils and tolerates periods of dry conditions. This low spreading shrub will require summer watering over prolonged periods where there is little to no rain.
It is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help establish the plant. It is beneficial to follow up with the occasional reapplication of fertiliser and apply as required. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
