Myoporum insulare prostrate

An attractive lush low-lying plant that is drought tolerant and is suitable to use in the landscape where low level plantings are required to suppress weeds. Small low branching plant with lush green foliage. In spring to early summer pale mauve dainty star-shaped flowers emerge within the foliage. Berries can be used to make jams and jellies, but their astringent flavour means they are not generally loved when eaten straight from the branch.
