Pyrus pyrifolia 'Nashi Pear'

A medium sized deciduous tree with attractive fruit that has a similar shape to that of an apple. The fruit ripens in late February. An adaptable tree suited to warm and cold climates. 

An excellent dessert pear that is sweet and crisp  with verry good flavour.  

Prefers a moist, well draining soil rich in organic matter. Protect from hot dry winds. 

Water regularly after planting until established. Mulch well to suppress weeds. Prune to shape as required. The addition of lime is beneficial if soils are acidic.
