Punica granatum 'Ben Hur' 

Ben Hur produces sweet and extremely tasty fruit that are enormous in size. The fruit can reach in excess of 15cm in diameter and weigh up to 1.2kg. To ensure that the fruit will grow as large as possible, it is verry important to provide adequate water when the tree produces its first flush of flowers. Feed in late winter with fertiliser formulated for deciduous fruit trees. Apart from shaping the tree in its early life, little pruning is needed other than to maintain a manageable size and shape.
