Salvia greggii ‘Merlot’

An evergreen shrub grown for its rounded habit and attractive long flowering period. Deep claret red flowers occur from spring to late autumn.

Tolerates a range of soils and conditions including coastal areas, but thrives in well-drained and sunny positions. A light trim after each flowering will promote and extend the flowering season.

Plant in a sunny position in well-drained soil. Also suited to large pots and verandah tubs. Good border plant for large cottage garden bed.
