Salvia leucantha is a delightful, small evergreen shrub bearing long spikes of violet flowers in autumn. The long, finely wrinkled green leaves are velvety white underneath. Prune these beauties after flowering to maintain compact growth, and be sure to keep them moist in dry weather.
