Flumex scutatus 'French Sorrel' 

Hardy, edible perennial herb with large heart shaped leaves that have a mild lemon or citrus flavour. Use in soups, salads and sauces, fresh or dried or as one would use spinach. Sorrel tea is reputed to soothe sore throats. Prefers well-drained soil and tolerant of most soil types. Apply liquid fertilizer during the growing season. Mulch well to retain soil moisture and supress weeds.
