A quick growing, upright shrub that is easy to grow and has dark green, feathery foliage and large flat heads of crimson red flowers. It is summer flowering and has been used since ancient times as a wound dressing and as a tea for general health benefits.

Red Yarrow is not a culinary plant but is an excellent traditional home remedy plant for wound dressings and as a tea for suppression of flu symptoms.

Plant in almost any position in the herb or perennial garden, it prefers moist but well drained soil with high organic content. Tolerates moderate frost.
